Mahoutsukai No Yome: Hoshi Matsu Hito First impressions

Mahoutsukai No Yome: Hoshi Matsu Hito is a newly aired anime based on Kore Yamazaki’s popular shonen manga Maho Tsukai no Yome and was produced by Wit Studios. The story revolves around protagonist Chisa Hatori a young girl whose life changed when beast headed (literally has a beast head :0 ) sorcerer Elias saved her from her life of abuse and neglect. Chisa becomes Elias’s apprentice as well as his future bride!!! Unfortunately, although cute and incredibly engaging the anime will only feature 3 episodes. 😦

I recently saw the first episode of the 3 episodes and can honestly say that I cannot wait for the rest of this beautiful OVA to be released. The episode gave us a peak of the enchanting magic  to come as well as give us a preview of the beautiful bond that is growing between Chisa and Elias. Gaaaah, I just love those two already!

The art is very well drawn and enhances and reflects the enchanting plot. Oh and the fairies and floating spirits are just way to adorable! The beautiful art and engaging plot allows for simple enjoyment and you just wont want to take your eyes off of.

The characters are beautifully animated and perfectly capture Kore Yamazaki’s original manga style. From the first episode Mahoutsukai No Yome: Hoshi Matsu Hito is already looking to be a new favorite of mine and you will definitely see a Chisa cosplay from me in the future!

I give this anime 3.5 hearts out of 5. Why you ask? well it’s simple although amazing in my eyes it is still to soon to judge, however I do recommend giving it a lookyloo. 🙂

  1. I agree that this first part was really interesting but without seeing the remaining two parts it is difficult to give it an overall recommendation at this time. Thanks for sharing.
